Project History

In 2005 the School of Sound Recording ran a project, part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), called Regional Equality in Music (REM).
The REM project sought to identify the barrier’s to women’s progression in the areas of sound engineering and Dj’ing and offer recommendations for addressing gender inequality.
Using some of the recommendations from the REM project WISEAMP aims to up-skill North West women in technical areas of the music industry through a series of activities.
